Bubble Punks Terms of Service
Effective date: October 29, 2026 · Version: 1.0
These terms are an agreement between you and Immersia Labs LLC ("we", "us"). They cover the Bubble Punks app, our game servers and bubblepunks.com (together, "the game"). Please read them carefully. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
The short version
- Play fair and be kind: no cheating, hacking, bullying or rude names.
- Under 18? Read these terms with a parent or guardian, who agrees to them for you. Under 13? You'll play in kids' mode, which is built to protect you.
- Bubble Punks is free to play. Players 13 and over can buy Glowdrops, an in-game currency, through Apple or Google, with a parent's permission if they're under 18. Players under 13 can't buy anything.
- Your progress and in-game items are for playing. They aren't worth money and can't be sold.
- If you break the rules, we can change your name, or suspend or ban your account.
- You can stop playing and delete your account at any time.
1. Agreeing to these terms
By downloading or playing the game, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't play.
Players under 18. If you're under 18, or under the age of adulthood where you live, a parent or guardian must read and agree to these terms for you. Players under 13 play in kids' mode (section 5).
Parents and guardians. If you let a child play, you agree to these terms on the child's behalf, and we ask you to help them follow the rules.
Minors in Texas, and other places with similar laws. Some laws, such as Texas's app-store law, don't let us enforce an agreement against a minor unless the app store has confirmed a parent's consent. Where such a law applies, we won't enforce these terms against a minor without that consent. Where the law allows, we may still take the safety steps in section 6 to protect other players.
2. Your account
- Guest accounts. When you set up the game, we create a guest account linked to your phone. If you delete the app or lose your phone, you may lose your guest account, unless you've saved a recovery code (Profile → Account → SAVE MY PROGRESS). Anyone who has your recovery code can open your account, so keep it private; if you're under 13, ask a grown-up to keep it safe. We can't recover a guest account without its code. Guest accounts that aren't used for 12 months are deleted, as our Privacy Policy explains.
- Linking a Google or Apple account. Players 13 and over can link a Google account, or on iPhone and iPad an Apple account, to keep their progress across phones.
- Keep it to yourself. Don't share your account, and don't sell, buy, trade or give away accounts. You're responsible for what happens on your account, unless someone else uses it without your permission and through no fault of yours.
- Player names. Players 13 and over can type their own player name and room names. Titles come from the game and can't be typed. These must follow section 4: nothing rude or hateful; no real names, contact details or other personal information (yours or anyone else's); no pretending to be someone else; no links or ads; and no brand names that aren't yours. We may change any name that breaks these rules.
- Accounts nobody uses. We may delete accounts that haven't been used for a long time, as our Privacy Policy explains.
- Deleting your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile → Account → Delete account. If you can't sign in, for example while your account is suspended, bubblepunks.com/delete-account explains how to ask us.
3. Your license to play
We give you a personal, limited license to download the game and play it on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial fun. "Limited" means you can't pass it on to anyone else, we can give the same license to others, and we can end it if you break these terms.
You may not:
- copy, change, sell, rent or distribute the game;
- reverse engineer, decompile or take apart the game, or try to get its source code, except where the law allows it;
- use cheats, bots, automation, modified apps or other unauthorized software, or exploit bugs;
- interfere with our servers or other players' connections (for example by flooding them with traffic), or get into accounts or data you aren't allowed to access;
- use the game to break the law.
Videos and streams. You're welcome to stream and share videos of yourself playing Bubble Punks, including on channels that earn money, as long as you follow these terms and don't suggest that we sponsor or endorse you.
Computer players. When few people are online, computer players may join to fill empty seats, including in your first online match. They aren't marked as computer players. They never appear in your friends or recent players, and they aren't used in ranked play or for prizes.
Matchmaking. We match players of similar skill, using a rating worked out from your results. When computer players fill seats, their difficulty is set to suit the room, and may ease a little after a run of losses. Nothing you buy changes matchmaking.
What a round earns. Quick play rounds earn XP, Gum and season progress in full. In rooms, each room shows its share before you play: it depends on how many real players are in the room, and private rooms earn a small share. Practice and Wi-Fi games earn nothing. A round earns nothing if you leave early or don't take part. Daily limits apply to everything you earn. Sometimes we run a boost that raises what rounds earn for a while; your round results show any boost that applied. We decide when boosts run, and may end one early to fix a mistake.
4. Play fair and be kind
We have zero tolerance for offensive content and abusive players. When you play Bubble Punks, don't:
- bully, harass, threaten or frighten other players;
- use hateful, sexual, violent or otherwise offensive names or room names;
- share anyone's personal information, including your own;
- pretend to be someone else, including us;
- cheat, use bots or exploit bugs (please report bugs to us instead);
- lose matches on purpose or team up with opponents to gain or sell rank or rewards;
- buy, sell or trade accounts, items or progress for real money;
- spam, scam or advertise;
- try to contact a child outside the game, or ask a child for personal information;
- do anything illegal.
5. Kids' mode
Players who tell us they're under 13 automatically get kids' mode, which is built to protect them. Our Privacy Policy explains how. Don't try to get around kids' mode, for example by giving a false age. If we learn that a player under 13 is using a regular account, we'll switch it to kids' mode or delete it, as our Privacy Policy explains.
6. If someone breaks the rules
If you break these terms, we may, depending on how serious it is:
- change your player name, title or room name;
- remove you from a room or match;
- reset progress or rewards you gained unfairly;
- suspend your account for a while, or ban it permanently.
For serious problems, or to keep players safe, we may act without warning. We may also report illegal activity to the police or other authorities.
Appeals. If you think we got it wrong, you can email support@immersialabs.com within 30 days with your player name. We read every appeal, but we may not reply to each one.
Reporting a player. Use Report in the game. We don't tell the player who reported them. A player name or room name reported by several players may be hidden until we look at it or it's changed. If you think a child is in danger, contact the police first.
7. Progress, items and purchases
- Your progress and in-game items, such as XP, levels, Gum, titles, characters and looks, are part of the game. You get a license to use them in the game. They aren't your property, have no money value, and can't be sold, traded or exchanged for money or anything outside the game.
- We may change, rebalance or remove items, levels and features to keep the game fun and fair.
Glowdrops and purchases
- What Glowdrops are. Glowdrops are an in-game currency you can get with real money through Apple or Google. Like everything in the game, they're a license to use in Bubble Punks only. They have no cash value. You can't exchange them for money or for anything outside the game, and you can't give, trade or sell them to anyone. They don't expire, and we won't take away or reduce the value of Glowdrops you've got, except for refunds as explained below, to fix a mistake, under section 6, or as section 11 says for free test purchases.
- Gum is earned by playing and can't be bought or exchanged for Glowdrops.
- Who can buy. To buy Glowdrops, your game account must be linked to Google or Apple. Players under 13 can't buy anything. Players under 18 need a parent's or guardian's permission, and players aged 13 to 15 can spend up to US$20 each calendar month, counted at our US prices. We check the limit before each payment. If two payments go through at the same moment, for example on two devices, we still deliver what was paid for, and no more purchases are possible that month. Your phone's parental controls (Apple's Ask to Buy, Google's Family Link) can add their own limits.
- Prices. We show prices in your local currency. Next to every Glowdrop price we show what those Glowdrops cost in money, at the standard rate without any pack bonus. Apple's or Google's payment terms also apply to your purchase.
- Refunds. Refunds go through Apple or Google under their policies and the law (see bubblepunks.com/refunds). We never lock your account for asking for one. If a refunded purchase's Glowdrops were already spent, your Glowdrop balance can go below zero. You can keep playing and earning Gum, but you can't spend Glowdrops until your balance is above zero again.
- Keeping your Glowdrops safe. Glowdrops belong to your game account. Because it's linked to Google or Apple, you get them back on a new phone by signing in. If you delete your account, any Glowdrops left are lost and can't be refunded, unless the law requires it. If an account is switched to kids' mode (section 5), its Glowdrops stay on it but can't be used while it's in kids' mode.
- If we stop selling Glowdrops or end online play, we'll tell you at least 30 days before, and stop selling Glowdrops when we announce it.
Seasons and the season pass
- A season runs until the end date shown in the game. Until a season's end date is set, the game shows the earliest date it can end. We show the exact end date at least 3 weeks before it comes, and never end a season before a date we've shown, though we may move the end later. Playing online moves you along its tracks, and the free track is for everyone.
- Players 13 and over can unlock a season's premium track with Glowdrops. The unlock is for that season only. If you unlock it partway through, you get every premium reward you've already reached. You can't buy tiers.
- Rewards are added to your account as you reach each tier. When a season ends, its tiers close, and rewards from tiers you didn't reach aren't available afterwards, unless we bring them back. A season's items stay on your account after it ends, like your other items.
- If a season has to end before the date we showed, or a problem on our side stops it working, everyone who unlocked its premium track gets the rest of its premium rewards.
- We may add rewards to a season or move them while it runs. A change never takes away a reward you've received, and never moves a reward to a later tier unless we're fixing a mistake. If a reward moves to a tier you've already passed, we add it to your account.
- Glowdrops spent on a season pass aren't refunded, except as the refunds section explains or the law requires.
8. Things you create
- Your player name and room names are your content, and you're responsible for them.
- You let us use, show, store and copy your content worldwide, without payment, as needed to run the game; for example, to show your name to other players. This permission ends when the content leaves the game, except for copies we keep for the periods in our Privacy Policy.
- We may remove or change content that breaks these terms.
- Ideas and feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them freely without paying you.
9. Our game and brand
Bubble Punks, including its characters, art, sounds, code, names and logos, belongs to Immersia Labs LLC or to the people who license it to us, and is protected by law. Apart from the license in section 3, these terms don't give you any rights in it.
The app includes open-source software that comes under its own licenses. You can read them on the app's licenses screen.
10. Copyright complaints
If you believe something in the game infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent:
Copyright Agent, Immersia Labs LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801. Phone: +1 412-773-1760. Email: support@immersialabs.com
Your notice must include:
- the physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or of someone authorized to act for them;
- a description of the copyrighted work;
- what you believe infringes it, and where it is in the game (for example, a player name);
- your name, address, phone number and email address;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn't authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you're the copyright owner or authorized to act for them.
If we remove something because of a notice, the person who posted it can send us a counter-notice as US law (17 U.S.C. § 512(g)) allows. A counter-notice must include:
- the sender's physical or electronic signature;
- what was removed and where it was;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that they believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- their name, address and phone number, with a statement that they accept the jurisdiction of the federal district court for their address (or, if they're outside the US, any district where we can be found), and that they'll accept service of legal papers from the person who sent the notice.
In appropriate circumstances, we'll close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe others' copyrights.
11. Changes, breaks and test versions
- We update the game often, and features may change or be removed.
- Online play needs our servers, so it may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance. Some updates may be needed to keep playing online.
- If we decide to stop online play for good, we'll tell you in the game and on our website at least 30 days before, unless something outside our control prevents it.
- Test versions. If you're testing an early version of Bubble Punks, it may have bugs, and your progress may be reset. Glowdrops from free test purchases (made through Apple's or Google's testing programs) may be removed when the game is released; anything you've already used them on stays yours. If we ask you to keep a test version private, please don't share it, or videos or screenshots of it, until we say so.
12. Other companies' services
You get the app from Apple's App Store or Google Play, and signing in uses Google. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their services, and we aren't responsible for those services.
13. Stopping play
- You can stop playing at any time, and delete your account in the app (Profile → Account → Delete account) or as bubblepunks.com/delete-account explains.
- We may suspend or end your access to the game if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the game.
- Sections 7, 8 (for content already shown), 9, 14, 15, 16 and 19 keep applying after you stop playing.
14. Our promises, and their limits
We work hard to make Bubble Punks fun, fair and safe. But we provide the game "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no promises (warranties) beyond those in these terms. That includes implied promises that the game is of satisfactory quality (sometimes called "merchantability"), fit for a particular purpose or doesn't infringe anyone's rights, and promises that it will always be available, free of errors or right for your needs.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be changed by agreement.
15. Limits on our responsibility
As far as the law allows:
- we aren't responsible for indirect or unexpected losses, such as lost profits, or for lost data, progress or in-game items; and
- our total responsibility to you for all claims about the game is limited to US$50, or to the amount you paid us for the game in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is greater.
These limits don't apply to our responsibility for fraud, deliberate harm, gross negligence or breaking the law, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. They also don't limit any other responsibility that the law doesn't let us limit.
16. Disputes
- Talk to us first. If you have a problem with the game, email support@immersialabs.com, and we'll try to sort it out.
- Which law applies. California law governs these terms, apart from its rules about which law applies. If you live outside the United States, you also keep the protection of your country's consumer laws that can't be changed by agreement.
- Where disputes are decided. In the state or federal courts in Santa Clara County, California. You may also bring a claim in a small claims court where you live, if your claim qualifies. If you live outside the United States, you may also be able to use the courts where you live.
- No forced arbitration. We don't require disputes to go to private arbitration.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, and we'll post each new version with a new effective date. If a change is important, we'll tell you in the game at least 30 days before it takes effect and ask you to agree again in the app. Changes required by law, or that only cover new features, may take effect sooner. For any other change, we'll show a short notice in the game when we post the new version. If you don't agree to a change, stop playing and delete your account. Changes never apply to a dispute that has already started.
18. If you got the game from Apple's App Store
These terms are between you and us only, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the game and its content. In addition:
- License. On Apple devices, your license is non-transferable and covers only Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions. Other accounts linked to yours through Family Sharing or volume purchasing may also use the game.
- Support. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for maintaining and supporting the game, as these terms or the law require. Apple has no obligation at all to provide any maintenance or support for the game.
- Warranty. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent they aren't effectively disclaimed. If the game fails to meet any warranty that applies, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the price you paid for the game, if any. As far as the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation at all for the game. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses caused by a failure to meet a warranty are our sole responsibility.
- Claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claims about the game or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that it doesn't meet legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- Intellectual property. If anyone claims that the game, or your having or using it, infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling and resolving that claim.
- Legal compliance. You confirm that you aren't in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated by the US government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you aren't on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Contact. Our name, address and contact details are in section 20.
- Third-party terms. You must follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the game, such as your internet provider's.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple will have the right (and will be treated as having accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
19. General
- Whole agreement. These terms and any rules shown in the game are the whole agreement between you and us about the game. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.
- If part doesn't work. If a court decides part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- No waiver. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- Transfers. We may transfer these terms to a company that takes over Bubble Punks. You can't transfer them.
- Events outside our control. We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by things we can't reasonably control.
- Sanctions. You may not use the game where US sanctions law forbids it.
- Language. If we translate these terms, the English version applies where the two differ, as far as the law allows.
